Statement of Faith
Brixington Community Church
At Brixington Community Church, we believe in creating a welcoming, Christ-centred community where people can grow in faith, discover God’s love, and serve others with compassion and purpose.
Our faith is founded on the truth of God’s Word and the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
1. The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God. It is our guide for faith, life, teaching, and Christian living.

2. God
We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is loving, holy, just, merciful, and sovereign over all creation.
(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again.

4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active today, bringing conviction, comfort, guidance, and spiritual growth. He empowers believers to live holy lives and serve God faithfully.
(John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23)
5. Salvation
We believe that all people are created by God but separated from Him by sin. Salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. By grace, through repentance and faith, we receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope.

6. The Church
We believe the Church is the family of God, made up of all believers in Jesus Christ. The local church is called to worship, pray, teach, encourage, serve, and share the good news of Jesus with the world.
We value community, belonging, discipleship, and serving together in love.
(Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27)
7. Baptism and Communion
We believe in believer’s baptism as an outward expression of inward faith in Christ. We also celebrate Communion as a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice and a symbol of our unity in Him.

8. Christian Living
We believe every Christian is called to live a life that reflects the love and character of Jesus. This includes loving God, loving others, seeking justice, showing compassion, and walking humbly in faith.

9. The Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. There will be resurrection, judgment, and the fulfilment of God’s eternal kingdom.

10. Eternal Hope
We believe in eternal life through Jesus Christ. Those who trust in Him receive everlasting life with God, and this hope shapes how we live today.
(John 14:1–3; Revelation 21:1–4)

As a Community Church, we are committed to being a place of worship, welcome, healing, discipleship, and mission—where people of all backgrounds can encounter Jesus and grow in faith together.
We seek to love God, love people, and serve our community with grace and truth.
Closing Statement
This Statement of Faith expresses the biblical foundation upon which Brixington Community Church stands, teaches, and serves. We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping people grow in faith, hope, and love.
