Please read the Facilities Hire Agreement carefully before submitting a booking enquiry.
1. Booking Details
This agreement is between Brixington Community Church (“the Church”) and the Hirer named in the booking form.
The Hirer agrees to use the following facilities:
☐ Large Hall
☐ Small Hall
☐ Kitchen
On the agreed date(s) and time(s) as confirmed in writing.
2. Purpose of Hire
The premises may only be used for the purpose stated on the booking form and must not be used for any unlawful or inappropriate activity.
3. Hire Period
The hire period includes time required for setting up and clearing away. The Hirer must ensure the premises are vacated promptly at the agreed end time.
4. Supervision
The Hirer is responsible for:
- The behaviour and safety of all attendees
- Adequate supervision, particularly of children and vulnerable persons
- Ensuring all activities are conducted safely
5. Health & Safety
The Hirer agrees to:
- Follow all health and safety guidance provided
- Keep fire exits clear at all times
- Familiarise themselves with fire procedures and emergency exits
- Report any accidents or incidents to the Church
6. Care of the Premises
The Hirer must:
- Leave the premises clean and tidy
- Return furniture and equipment to its original position
- Remove all rubbish generated during the hire
- Report any damage immediately
Any damage caused during the hire may be charged to the Hirer.
7. Kitchen Use
If the kitchen is used:
- It must be left clean and tidy
- All equipment must be washed and put away
- Food hygiene standards must be followed
8. Noise and Consideration
The Hirer agrees to:
- Keep noise at a reasonable level
- Be considerate to neighbours, especially when arriving and leaving
9. Safeguarding
Where children or vulnerable adults are present, the Hirer is responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are in place.
10. Insurance
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance cover for their activity if required.
11. Cancellations
The Church reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances. Reasonable notice will be given wherever possible.
12. Liability
The Church accepts no responsibility for:
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Injury arising from the Hirer’s activities
13. Acceptance
By submitting a booking request, the Hirer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
