Deacon – Safeguarding

Whilst growing up in church, it always felt my parents faith rather than my own and because of this In my teens and early 20s I found myself stepping away. I never stopped believing though and after uni finally found a church home for ‘my faith’ rather than my parents and happily a couple of years later I was baptised into Christ.

Since that step, and making myself truly open to the Lord’s will I’ve been blessed with meeting my wife Eve, looking after our (current total) 9 pets and some amazing moments of quiet and contemplation with Jesus when out sailing on our 23ft boat.

Most of all though I’m so humbled to find the Lord using me as he is; in ways I’d never myself be qualified without his spirit filling in my gaps.
