Michael was born in Leicester. He has an older brother and a younger sister and Mum, who all still live there.

During Michael’s early teens, his main interests seemed to gravitate around the local boys’ club. There he would enjoy playing darts, table tennis, snooker et cetera. He also enjoyed playing football and following the Leicester City team.

Michael’s working life included becoming a skilled plasterer, a supervisor with 21 subordinates for Jessops Photography, a Head Verger at Leicester Cathedral and his last role was as a Senior Verger with responsibilities on the senior management team at Exeter Cathedral.

Michael married Susan in 1984 and they have 5 daughters. They both became Christians 2 years later. They moved to Exeter in 2005 and then to Exmouth in 2014.

Michael and Susan enjoy the worship and fellowship at Brixington Community Church and feel very much at home.
